The Pursuit of Excellence
Commitment, dedication, loyalty and the pursuit of excellence are personified in Ramona Hopson and everything she undertakes to do. In a day when few people understand the meaning of true commitment, Ramona has exemplified the spirit of commitment in every facet of her life. Ramona has been committed to the real estate business for 28 years, the last 23 with Montgomery Metro. That commitment pales in comparison to her 48-year marital commitment to her high school sweetheart, Carl Hopson. When Ramona commits her heart to something, she becomes attached to it with a mission to be the best she can be. The attitude reflects who she is an how she chooses to conduct her business. With commitment, dedication and loyalty as her bedrock, Ramona pursues excellent in everything she does.

Ramona never saw herself becoming a Realtor. As a mother of four, she enjoyed the challenges that we all face as parents, jumping from one activity to another, trying to be sure that everyone was in the right place at the right time, doing what they were supposed to be doing. Ramona entered the real estate business after the idea was suggested to her by the broker selling Carl and her a new home. He saw a special gift in Ramona and told her that she was “custom made” for the real estate business. That gift he recognized was Ramona’s caring spirit and a commitment to helping others. She took that advice 28 years ago and has never looked back.

Over the years Ramona has achieved numerous awards in the industry. But her success has not been driven by the many Multi Million Dollar Awards but rather by the loyalty to her clients.

|
In turn, her clients have demonstrated a trust and satisfaction that has resulted in their return of that loyalty. They say that repeat business is a measure of one’s success. If that is true, then the fact that Ramona has worked with the children of many of her repeat clients brings that definition of success to a whole new level. It is one thing to sell to the same client, but when you also sell to their children, you must be doing something right. Her dedication to her clients is unsurpassed in the industry, and it is her pursuit of finding the perfect home for each client that drives her to a work ethic that few can match.

Taking care of families is what she's always loved to do...

Ramona has been active in the Real Estate business not only as an agent but has also worked to advance the profession. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Montgomery Board and has served on the Ethics and Professional Standards Committee for many years. In addition to her work as a Realtor, Ramona finds time to be active in her church, Landmark Church of Christ in Montgomery, and she and Carl actively support The Shed, a halfway house for recovering addicts. In addition, Ramona makes time to be a supportive grandmother to her grandchildren playing sports and cheerleading. Family is extremely important to Ramona and it is her love of her family that generated her motto. Ramona has always said that she “treats her clients like she would want someone to treat her children” if they were buying or selling a home. And speaking of children, one of Ramon’s daughters, Lisa Hopson-Anderson, is also now a recognized leader in the industry. Ramona enjoys being able to pass along her years of experience to someone that she knows shares her same pursuit of excellence. To Ramona, this is a family business. Not only are she and Lisa involved in the industry, her husband and best friend, Carl, is also a Realtor serving the Lake Martin area. Taking care of families is what Ramona loves to do, whether it is her family, or yours.
